So Kaylees thread got me to thinking about the first time I ever went down the dragstrip, so lets here your first time down the strip stories.
The first time I ever went down was in my 83 camaro with a stock 305 and autotranny. I ran a 15.2 spinning off the line. Got done and my legs were shaking like a mofo, but it was soooo much fun.

Montgomery Motorsports Park in my '01 Steeda GT. I think the only power mods were a K&N and a Flowmaster catback. Went 14.17 @ 98.x MPH, forget the 60'.
After every possible mod (keeping N/A) later, except for headers, I never ran faster than that,
terrible. The thing just did not want to hook, I had more traction problems with that 256 RWHP than in the Cobra by far, I never understood it.

i took the s2k down to SDR before i had a turbo. i ran a 14.2 @ 98mph. i was so pissed. i was slow as fuck

400 smallblock, turbo 400, and a chevy 12 bolt with 4.88 gears. Front end popped up on me and scared the shit out of me... I Turned the wheel a bit to the right coming back down and went straight into the outside wall....

It was in the Z at SDR while it was 103 degrees out. Can't remember my times exactly on the very first pass, but I was trapping in 3rd gear instead of 4th which was hurting me. I didn't drop the pressure in the tires or anything.
I believe my very first pass was a 12.2@118mph. I basically stayed right between 12.0 - 12.2 at 118 - 119mph. Two things I wanted to accomplish happened. I ran one 120mph run, and also got an 11.997 run lol

silver dollar. In my 1992 Z28. It was stock with 103k on it and ran a 14.4 at 95 MPH.....

my 1st time was in a srt-4 with exhaust and an intake. i ran a 14.1@101, which later improved to a 12.8 at 110 with a few more mods!

i remember my first time in the teg... the day was decent... but being an OBVIOUS newb, i didnt get a launch worth a damn, i think it was like a 4.3 60' LOLOL and ran like a 18.2. needless to say, i was QUITE disappointed. the best that car ever did was a 15 flat at 88mph
